I love how this comic perfectly makes fun of dogs while still accurately portraying what every dog owner is thinking.

The above are my favorite parts but the full comic can be seen on TheOatmeal. He has also turned it into a fun read through book.

Sometimes the pictures and words are a little vulgar, but in the end still very funny. Have you read through his comics before? Another favorite is his Bobcats series.

It will still be a while before we actually move down south but last weekend we spent some time trying to plan out all the steps we will need to take. To start, updating our resumes and begin networking. Since the weather was perfect for some outdoor time, we went to take some head shots for Brian’s LinkedIn profile. I am still working out the kinks of using my DSLR camera but I think it wasn’t bad for my first time with head shots.

What do you think of the photos below? Which do you think would be a good one for his profile?

My top pick for his profile.

My favorite goofy pic.

It was great to spend some time outside and it was fun to take silly photos of Brian. Isn’t he so handsome?

Thanks to everyone’s help, the Kickstarter for the new Palaxy Tracks album was successful and Brandon will be releasing it some time early 2015.  The album is on pre-order at in either digital or vinyl format.  It’s funny how tapes and cd’s have been left by the wayside while vinyl remains the physical alternative to a digital download.

As a bonus Brandon has released a music video for the track The Afterlives, available now on their website and youtube.  That’s the good news.  The bad news, I can see how the video isn’t all that approachable for a general audience.  It’s basically a bad vhs video of a woman in zombie make up which skips around a lot.  So if you’re into the artsy vibe of it, check it out and enjoy, if not I’ll understand if you just want to let it play in another window while you watch something more pleasant.

If you missed it here is my first post on Palaxy Tracks.

This gross cold weather has gotten me into the mood for a lot of fall baking so I think this weekend will be filled with a lot of powdered sugar and sweet cookie scents. A few weeks ago Brian and I tried a new recipe and I would love to share it, I am hoping to repeat it this weekend.

Have you come across 20×200 ‘s website? I wish I had more wall space in our tiny apartment just so I can buy more of the gorgeous work featured through this company every month. All the art is original, in limited edition and when you sign up for emails, once a month you get to be teased all over again. The best part is its super affordable!

Today I was enticed by William Wegmans photography. Take a look…

Animal photography gets me every time. Charlie might be a little jealous if I bring one of these pieces home.

What do you think?

I don’t think Hannah realizes how chilly I can get when the temperature drops. Even though I am big compared to others, I have little insulation when it comes to fat or fur. Hannah noticed that I was shivering the other evening and we have decided to go in search for a winter jacket. Hopefully this will be the last year we will need one for me.

Do your pets get a layer of clothing when the temperatures drop through the fall and winter?

Here are my top picks for jackets:

Riders Turnout Sheet $25, a great light weight jacket with a waterproof outer shell and a warm inner lining. Perfect for the fall weather up here on the northeast coast.

Rambo Dog Blanket $49, looks super warm and is adorable with the stripes and multiple colors to choose from.

Blue Ribbon Custom Jacket $79. This is my favorite jacket because it has many layers of warmth and yet is still very comfortable to wear. A plus is that you can pick whatever color and trim you want and a personal monogram can be added.

All the jackets above are from Dover Saddlery which is mostly for horses but they have a great selection of dog jackets, collars and leashes.

Muttluks is another great company, mostly known for their perfect dog booties, has a few winter jackets that look great when it comes to the brutal winter.

3 Layer Belted Winter Coat $64, how gorgeous would green or pink look on me? The jacket is super warm which is helpful when it is more then just about looks.

Jogger Jacket $77, this may be a little excessive but looks super warm and am actually considering it even with the goofy look.

What do you think of our top picks? Do you have any other recommendations?
