I am not one to spoil my dog too much but over time a lot of her things get ragged, treats are slowly diminished and toys are thrown out after being chewed to destruction. All of these things need to be replaced so why not do it in the form of gifts at the same time as others are getting presents.
BarkBox, $19-$29/box, a great little box selected for your size dog. Its a great way to bring variety of 4-5 toys and treats for your pup every month.
Lasso Leash & Collar, $30 & $30, I found this company on etsy and I am so happy to see them grow over the last year. There is a huge variety of colors and types of leashes and collars to choose from. Charlie has a red leash and collar and I cant wait to add more to her wardrobe.
Trixie Puzzle Level 3, $25, Dogs need a lot of stimulation, and if we lived on a huge piece of land Charlie would get that just from hunting, running and sniffing around. But we dont, so after some time just hanging out, we love to do puzzles. It makes Charlie really excited when she solves them.
Tuffy’s Bull, $24, I have a big dog and even though she is not a huge chewer, regular dog toys get destroyed under her big teeth pretty quickly. The Tuffy brand toys have 3 layers of cloth and multiple levels of stitching which helps the toy last months and months for Charlie.
Pet Cot, $90, For the bigger dogs, as they get older it is harder to get up off the floor, this is a great solution and I wish it could fit in our apartment.
BigDogBed Preferred Comfort, $480, if I could afford it, this would be the dog bed I would get for Charlie since she deserves super comfort. Dogs need spinal and joint support just like we do and sleeping on the floor just isn’t enough.
Deer Antler, $19, the bone that lasts forever. Charlie has gone through nylabones and kongs but this is the only thing I have had to buy only once.
Zuke’s Dog Treats, $10, there are only so many ways I can control Charlie’s health so I make sure Charlie eats the best food and treats. Zukes treats are naturally preserved and made with real meat, a plus in my book.
Pet Tags, $12, you can get something cute and personalized like this etsy find or you can go to a pet store and get one for just a few dollars but either way make sure your dog always has a tag on. It can be the one way a lost dog can be brought back to their rightful owner.
These might not be the most original gifts for dogs but they will be the most appropriate and helpful for pets and their parents.
